Confirmation of Acceptance (CAS)

The CAS is a digital document issued by your university once you meet all academic and financial conditions. You cannot apply for a visa without this 14-digit reference number.

2026 "Show Money" Update

You must show £1,171 per month for 9 months (£10,539 total) if studying outside London. For London-based universities, this increases to £1,529 per month.

The 28-Day Rule

Your total funds (Tuition + Living) must be held in a UKVI-approved "A" Class bank in Nepal for a minimum of 28 consecutive days before submitting your visa application.

Language Proficiency

UKVI accepts IELTS UKVI, PTE Academic, and LanguageCert. Many universities offer IELTS Waivers if you scored 70%+ in English in your Class 12 exams.

The Graduate Route (PSW)

International students who complete a Bachelor's or Master's degree qualify for a 2-year Post-Study Work visa. PhD graduates qualify for 3 years.

1-Year Master's Programs

Unlike the US or Canada, most UK Master’s degrees are only 12 months long, saving you an entire year of tuition and living expenses.

Step 1: Apply to 3-5 Universities and receive your Conditional/Unconditional Offer Letter.

Step 2: Undergo the mandatory TB Test at the IOM Migration Health Center in Kathmandu.

Step 3: Pay your tuition deposit and pass the University Credibility Interview to receive your CAS.

Step 4: Pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) and the Student Visa Fee (£490).

Step 5: Biometrics appointment at VFS Global Thapathali and wait for your decision (approx. 3 weeks).
